THE GALLIPOLIS ROTARY CLUB

A group of ten Rotarians and friends assembled at the Ohio Valley Bank Annex on Thursday afternoon for a Labeling Party to prepare the dictionaries for distribution next week.  On hand were Katrinka Hart and Dave Nadler, Chuck and Cathy Clark, Bonnie McFarland, Cleeland Willis, Debbie Saunders, President Deb Rhodes, and Dan and Edna Whiteley.  The dictionaries are all set to go and have been packed up by school for distribution.

President Deb Rhodes opened the regular meeting of the Gallipolis Rotary Club promptly at 7:15 am, with quite of few regular members missing!  This is a big week as it is the Bob Evans Festival and our club’s primary fundraiser.  President Deb welcomed everyone in attendance and Bob Hood gave the invocation.  It was good to see Kurt Dailey with us today!

Dictionary Project–Debbie Saunders announced that  Wednesday, October 8th, our club will be holding a ‘Label Party’ at the OVB Annex on Third Avenue at 4:00 PM.  We will be applying the labels to all the dictionaries at that time and all members are welcome to stop in and lend a hand.  The process only takes a few minutes, and with a good number of Rotarians we can label every dictionary within an hour or so.  The distribution in the schools will take place the following week on  Thursday, October 16th, which also happens to be Noah Webster’s birthday and National Dictionary Day!
