President Deborah Rhodes opened the regular meeting of the Gallipolis Rotary Club promptly at 7:15 am at the Holzer Clinic Doctors Dining Room.  Matt Willis gave the invocation.  President Rhodes welcomed everyone on such a frosty morning.

District Assembly—Debbie announced the District Assembly will be held on Saturday, April 4th at Ohio University-Lancaster.  President Deb, Bonnie, and Chuck are planning on attending and would like to have a few more Rotarians make the trip this year.  This is an excellent opportunity for new members to experience the workings of Rotary at the District level and to meet Rotarians from around our District.  They usually have a special meeting for new Rotarians.

Today’s meeting was an exciting time as our club inducted two new members into Gallipolis Rotary.  Jodie Anderson and Shawn Siders both from the Ohio Valley Bank joined Rotary with the assistance of Kurt Dailey, who handled the Object of Rotary, and Matt Willis, who handled the 4-Way Test and the Red Badge Program to our new inductees.  Jodie and Shawn were sponsored by Treasurer Katrinka Hart.  President Debbie Rhodes presented the membership credentials to Jodi and Shawn and welcomed both into Gallipolis Rotary.

President Deb Rhodes and her husband, Jeff, hosted Gallipolis Rotarians to an evening meeting at the First Church of God Activities Building.  This annual event is one of several evening meetings where the club dispenses with the formality of our morning meeting and concentrates on fellowship with fellow club members, spouses, and guests.

On January 22nd the Gallipolis Rotary Club held a reception for the librarians of the elementary schools in Gallia County.  We had a good turn out and here are a few of the pictures from the event.  Big thanks goes out to Debbie Saunders for coordinating the event!
