Board Attendees Present: Bonnie McFarland – Chair (in Deb Rhodes absence), Deb Saunders, Dan Whiteley, Jim Morrison, Katrinka Hart, and Tammi Brabham
Announcements:
Bonnie announced the PETS Training will be in Columbus on March 13 and 14.
District Assembly will be held in Lancaster on April 4.
Bonnie also announced the 2009-2010 theme of Rotary will be “The Future of Rotary is in Your Hands”
Reports:
Katrinka gave the Treasurer’s Report with the last month’s checking account transactions and the difference in accounts balances for the last month. Katrinka also noted that a new CD was purchased with funds from the Money Market fund. She also gave a handout with the 2008 budget compared with the 2009 budget.
Chuck Clark had a conflict and was not present at the meeting so there was no Secretary’s Report.
Other Business:
Bonnie McFarland asked that we vote on the Future Vision Plan. The paperwork will be taken care of by Debbie Rhodes. Jim Morrison motioned and Dan Whiteley seconded.
Deb Saunders mentioned that the Lions Club and Emblem Club agreed to join us with the book drive campaign. We will be sending letters to schools and organizations and also have articles in the newspaper. The Lions Club donated $250 and it was asked if the Rotary Club could match up to $250 of those funds. Jim Morrison motioned and Dan Whiteley seconded.
Dan Whiteley reported that we have a few pair of cancer (multi-colored) socks remaining. Bonnie suggested we ask HMC Relay for Life team to sell them at a yard sale.
