April Board Meeting
Guests (for Make up credit): Jodie Anderson, Shawn Siders, Shirley Doss
Reports:
The minutes from the March Board meeting were approved as read by Deb Rhodes.
Katrinka gave the Treasurer’s Report with the last month’s checking account transactions and the difference in accounts balances for the last month. Katrinka mentioned that Bonnie spent $104 filling the tote with supplies for the military. Also, $125 was paid out for D&O Insurance; every member will be billed $3 to account for this. Katrinka reported that this check has not yet been sent because she is unsure if this was a 2008 or 2009 invoice. In addition, the Kick Cancer payment check sent in October was not cleared, so a stop payment was put on the check and the payment was reissued. The reissued payment has not cleared as well. Both the D&O and Kick Cancer payments are sent to the same person, so it was suggested that Matt Willis look into this issue further. Katrinka also reported that the amount in our Foundation accounts have increased due to the activity in the stock market. Treasurer’s Report approved as read by Deb Rhodes.
Old Business:
The Spaghetti Dinner date is set for June 20, 2009. Katrinka mentioned that Father’s Day could be promoted to get more people interested in the Spaghetti Dinner. The dinner will take place at the Senior Citizens Center from 5 PM – 7 PM. Katrinka mentioned adding this information to the Rotary website. Deb will check with Alvera Robinson to see if she will be making extra sauce to sell. Deb also reminded the Board that it was important to promote Polio as the focus of this fundraiser.
The
