Rep. Clyde Evans Addresses Gallipolis Rotary

Ohio House Representative and Rotarian Clyde Evans spoke to Gallipolis Rotary and presented his Ohio legislative update to our club. It is not always convenient for Clyde to attend meetings and attend to his duties at the Statehouse and we are grateful for his remarks today.

President Deb Rhodes welcomed our guests to the meeting today including Assistant District Governor Lee Hubbard, Melissa Kimmel who will be joining our ranks soon, and our speaker, Clyde Evans.

Ro-Li-Ki Meeting

Gallipolis Rotarians enjoyed a change of pace evening meeting with the combined meeting of Rotary, Lions, and Kiwanis clubs at McIntyre Park.  The Gallipolis Lions did a great job hosting everyone and cooking up an excellent fare for dinner.

Final Three Gallipolis Rotary Scholars Announced

Scholarship Chairman, Bob Hood, announced the final three 2009 Rotary Scholars for 2009.  Pictured above are Andrea VanMeter, Quintin Nibert, and Annee Carman, Rotary Scholars for the Gallipolis Rotary Club.  At the recent meeting of the club, these three join with  Meghan Daines, Amber Miller, and Ashley Miller as the 2009 Rotary Scholars.  Andrea and Annee are both attending Cedarville University this fall and plan on majoring in the Cross Cultural Nursing program with plans to pursue missionary work after graduation.  Quintin is looking forward to starting the 5 year coop Engineering program at the University of Cincinnati.  The Gallipolis Rotary Club congratulates our 2009 Rotary Scholars.
