Split the Pot Jim Morrison handled STP this week and Don Robinson drew the winning ticket.  Jim Phillipe won the small pot of $7 and missed out on the large pot of $76.  His fine for the week was to anyone that did not go to the Indy 500 this year.

Fellowship Gordon Amsbary provided fellowship at the meeting by first dancing around like a monkey, along with Kurt Dailey.  Then he spoke on famous birthdays that shared this day, which included Donald Duck, Johnny Depp, Michael J. Fox, and George Axelrod.  It was also Clyde Evans’ birthday, so he was serenaded by a trio made up of Dave Smith, Kurt Dailey, and Resty Alfonso.  Gordon also told us about the four top bands of the British Invasion: 1. The Beatles, 2. Rolling Stones, 3. The Who, and 4. The Kinks.

ProgramBob Hood introduced Joe Moore from the Gallia County Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization.  The FCA has been in Gallia County for approximately three and a half years.  FCA, as an organization, was formed in 1954.  The Gallia County FCA participates in a variety of community events including the Relay for Life, visiting hospital patients, leadership camps, etc.  The organization was able to put 650 Bibles into the schools.

FCA is a student led organization with advisors and they meet every week.  Each school’s club is called a “huddle” and the students are responsible for the weekly non-denominational content at their meeting every week.

The FCA also brings speakers to work with the students in the schools.  Devon McDonald, a Notre Dame grad and linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts came to the schools and spoke, along with Seth Franco, a Harlem Globe Trotter.

The FCA is a non-profit organization and holds a bi-annual fundraising event to raise funds for programming.  The organization also raises funds through donations.

There were no other announcements after the program, so Deb adjourned the meeting.
