Rotarians receive TB Tests For BEF Festival!
Gallipolis Rotary was very busy today and we had an excellent attendance for our meeting. Our guests included Melissa Kunkle from the Gallia County Health Department to administer TB tests, Andrea Gannaway, and our speaker, Jason Holdren. President Bonnie McFarland welcomed everyone and called our meeting to order. Kevin Petrie provided our invocation.
Good Turnout–We had an excellent turnout for our meeting today and it was good to see Jeff Lanham again! President Bonnie McFarland opened our meeting on time and Cleeland Willis provided the invocation. Our singing of “My Country Tis of Thee” was suspended by our Sergeant of Arms, Kurt Dailey, to get everyone on key. We still need lots of practice.
Guests—Our guest this morning was Andrea Gannaway. Andrea has been with us for a number of weeks and has also submitted her application to join Gallipolis Rotary. Welcome, Andrea, it is good to have you with us!
Blue Badge Presentation—President Bonnie called on Dave Nadler to come forward today and receive his permanent Rotary blue badge. Dave retires his red badge after fulfilling all the requirements such as handing out badges from the badge box, attending a board meeting, working a club project, and attending a meeting at a neighboring Rotary club. President Bonnie McFarland opened the regular meeting of the Gallipolis Rotary Club promptly at 7:15 am with a great attendance by members! If we had our regulars with us today who happened to be traveling this week, we would have exceeded 30! Thank you all for attending today. Our invocation was provided by Kevin Petrie.
Guests—We had a number of guests with us today—Bill Knight and J.R. Spencer were visiting Rotarians from the Pt. Pleasant Rotary Club. We also had Andrea Gannaway visiting with us again and Andrea has completed the club application for membership in Gallipolis Rotary. Rounding out our visitors today was Dave Roush from the Gallia County Highway Garage, who is our program speaker, and a guest of Brett Boothe. (more…)

Presentation—Past President Deb Rhodes asked PDG Mel Simon to come forward and receive a check for $1,000 from her employer, WESBANCO for the French 500 Free Medical Clinic. The clinic operates one Thursday afternoon each month from the Hillcrest Medical office off Jackson Pike. Congratulations, Mel!
