Treasurer’s Report—Shawn reported there has not been much activity over the past month as reflected in the report distributed to the board.  He noted that proceeds from the Middleport Auction to benefit Relay For Life are going into the savings account and the amounts are being recorded.  The Treasurer’s Report was approved.

Secretary’s Report—Chuck reported the letter to non-attenders has already had some positive effect.  The board instructed the Secretary to send out the letter to any members who have not attended in the past six months.  The Secretary’s Report was approved.

President’s Council—President Bonnie reported the President’s Council has met and the concept really works well.  It is very helpful to have the advice of the past five club presidents available.

By-Laws—The new By-Laws for the club have  been completed and were reviewed  by the board.  Many thanks to Shirley and Debbie Rhodes for their efforts.  After discussion a motion to accept the By-Laws was made by Paul Koch and seconded by Shirley Doss.  The board instructed the Secretary to send out the new By-laws by email for their input.  A vote by the entire club will be taken on the 27th and must pass by at least 2/3’s of the members attending.

Voting at Board Meetings—A procedural clarification was discussed that only current board members and officers may bring forth motions and vote.  The President only votes to break a tie.  Members are encouraged to attend board meetings however are not eligible to vote on motions.

New Member Application—The board approved the membership application for Andrea Gannaway, proposed by Margaret Evans, and scheduled her induction for October 20th.

Election of Officers for 2010-2011—The board will ask Jim Morrison to create the ballot for our annual election of officers for Rotary Year 2010-2011.
