Rotarians Help With Community Christmas Dinner

A number of Gallipolis Rotarians volunteered some personal time on Christmas Day to help with a free community dinner provided by Dave’s American Grill.  Owner and Rotarian, David Smith, asked fellow Rotarians to take some time and help out a few hours.  Those that responded enjoyed the fellowship and helped feed an estimated 500 diners. Gallipolis Rotarians Hold Holiday Dinner

The Merry Family Winery’s new location was the venue for Gallipolis Rotary Club’s Christmas Party on Tuesday evening, December 15th.  President Bonnie McFarland and Past President Debbie Rhodes planned the event down to the last detail and club members and their guests enjoyed one of the best ever evening meetings!

Gallipolis Rotary Inducts Two New Members

The Gallipolis Rotary Club added two new Rotarians to the roles today.  Shana Booher, a physician relations specialist for Holzer Clinic, and Chris Marazon, a family practice physician with Holzer Medical Center, stood before the club and were guided through the induction process by Sergeant of Arms, Kurt Dailey.  Chris was proposed into membership by PDG Mel Simon and Shana was sponsored by President Bonnie McFarland.  Congratulations, Shana and Chris, and welcome to Gallipolis Rotary. 12/1/2009 Board Meeting

President Bonnie McFarland called the meeting to order.

Treasurer’s Report - Shawn reported that we paid the final expenses for the Bob Evans Farm Festival for about $2600.  We also took in member dues and redeemed a CD for donation to the Disaster Recovery relief fund.

Secretary’s Report -  Chuck Clark mentioned that we will be inducting 2 new members to the club, Chris Marazon and Shana Booher.  Mel motioned to accept Chris into the club, Paul seconded and all were in favor.  Jodie motioned to allow Shana into the club, Shawn seconded and all were in favor.
