Rotarians Hear About Medicine In China

Dr. Dan Black and son, Dane Black, presented ‘Impressions of China’ at this week’s meeting of the Gallipolis Rotary Club. Pictured above are Dr. Black, Resty Alonzo, President Bonnie McFarland, and Dane Black showing their certificates for Books For Schools which will be donated in their names to a local elementary school.
The Black’s participated in a People to People trip to China which allowed for exposure to the country’s medical centers and clinics to learn first hand about medical practices in China. Dr. Black emphasized that Chinese medicine combines mind-body-spirit practices that date back thousands of years. Dane enjoyed getting about the country and captured many interesting photographs of Beijing, The Great Wall, and other interesting sights. Resty contributed a Happy Buck to the club on behalf of our speakers today. (more…)
