THE GALLIPOLIS ROTARY CLUB

President Lou Ellen called the meeting to order and welcomed our guests, Kevin Dennis and Sandi Corbin.    Lou Ellen spoke about e-mails circulating concerning Mel’s Medical Mission.  According to Mel, there was an accounting error and they have plenty of funds for to complete their mission.  Lou Ellen also asked the club if there were any literacy projects that we have worked on, she is sending a list to the District Governor.

Rotarian Lee is back from Guam.  He brought back two flags from clubs he visited with while home and also spoke briefly about conflict resolution presentation that he attended.  He encouraged the club to get involved with this type of program in our high schools.

Matt Willis reported that he had a nice time playing golf with the District Governor last week and also visiting the cancer center.  He said that he had to remember the “Four Way Test” many times during the golf game. (more…)
