Tara Craaybeek Visits Gallipolis Rotary

Gallipolis Rotary President, Lou Ellen Werry, welcomed Tara Craaybeek, Rotary Foundation Chair for District 6690, as the featured guest speaker to our club meeting today. Tara presented an interesting talk illustrating the immense work of Rotary’s key program, The Rotary Foundation. Rotarians learned how important annual giving of amounts as low as $25 combine with other giving from our District to fund humanitarian projects around the world. 
The matching gifts program of the Foundation help to multiply the funding of approved programs such as PDG Mel Simon’s Medical Mission to the Philippines. Ms. Craaybeek identified a number of projects undertaken by Rotary Club’s in our District 6690 and how they have provided medical and humanitarian service under this year’s Rotary theme of Building Communities and Bridging Continents.
