Tuesday, March 15th, 2011
** REMINDER**  Please make plans to attend the Roy Hobbs reception this Friday, March 18th at 6 pm at the Holzer Medical Center Conference Rooms A, B, C.  This is a make up opportunity and the dress code is ‘business casual.’

Club President, Lou Ellen Werry, opened this week’s meeting with her mighty gavel and welcomed Rotarians and all our guests.  With us today were Mark Hasseman, Lindsey Miller and her Mom, Lori Miller.  Our invocation was given by Matt Willis.

Rotarian, Jodie McCalla, presented a check to 2010 Scholar checkscholarship recipient, Lindsey Miller, on behalf of the club.  Lindsey provided members with an update of her activities as a freshman at Marshall University.  This is her second of two installments provided to scholarship winners and the presentation allows the recipient an opportunity to update the club on their studies.  Recipients are required to maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA and this second meeting reconnects the club with the scholars.  Congratulations, Lindsey!
