President Shirley Doss Leads Rotary
Tuesday, July 5th, 2011New President, Shirley Doss, gaveled in 
the new Rotary year for 2011-2012 and welcomed assembled Rotarians and guests to the meeting. Our numbers were down a bit today as many of our members are obviously vacationing.
We also learned that holding an early morning meeting after the 10 pm fireworks in the park, may not be such a great idea!
Guest—President Shirley welcomed Heather Crum from Farmer’s Bank, who was a guest of Chuck Clark. Heather is interested in learning more about Rotary and our club. She is interested in helping serve our community and becoming a Rotarian! Welcome, Heather!
62nd Annual Rotary Mile
Rotary Mile Recap—We had an excellent running of the annual Rotary Mile on Saturday. We had 25 entries and the youngest was 7 years old! We need to work on recruiting more girls into the race as well as boys. The fastest time was turned in by Matt Watts with a time of 4:42.3 for the mile.
